Kimberly Brown, a 25 year old single mother is currently enrolled at Florida A&M University. She is pursuing a Bachelor's of Science in nursing degree. She has just three more semesters until her completion date. Ms. Brown has relocated to Tallahassee, Florida from Atlanta, Georgia after receiving a scholarship from FAMU. Most of her time is consumed by her studies, a full time sales association position at Walgreens Pharmacy, and taking care of her two sons. She is mostly motivated by her two children that are only two and four years old. She is also motivated by making her dreams of becoming a Registered Nurse a reality. Ms. Brown is frustrated by the lack of support she receives from her family and the father of her kids. She has been supporting herself since she was nineteen years old. She is also frustrated with having to choose school or work over her kids sometimes.
Ms. Brown's youngest son has a fever of 104 degrees Fahrenheit, chills, and a dry cough. He is extremely irritable. She has tried over the counter medicines to reduce the symptoms. However, nothing has worked. And she decides that the only option is to take him to the emergency room. She has an exam in the morning that she is not prepared for. Her oldest son is becoming hyper. She needs to go to an emergency room that has great and speedy service.
