3) Apalachee Center
History & Founding:
Apalachee Center, previously known as the "Institute of Human Relations" was founded in 1948. In 1966, the Apalachee Center was incorporated as he Leon Clinic Mental Health Center. It was a non- profit community agency serving Leon County in Tallahassee Florida.
Sevices:
The Evaluation and Admissions department within the Apalachee Center provides 24 hour assesments and referel services for mental health and substance abuse. The Apalachee Center's services also includes Baker Act Recieving Facility, Crisis Intervention and Screening/Evaluation.
